Smooth Jazz has been my music since 1980 when one of my classmates introduced me to Spyro Gyra. The demise of Boston's WCDJ (9/93), Plymouth's WPLM (5/99) and Boston's WOAZ & WSJZ (9/99) wipe out full-time Contemporary Jazz programming in the greater Boston area. 

The other interesting jazz/standards mix in the area has been killed off.  As of 12/22/2003, jazz/standards mix WBOQ Gloucester (104.9) has changed formats to oldies. 

My other favorite is Adult Album Alternative (AAA) music.   We have a few local AAA stations:
